Dr Paul Spizzo
MBBS(Adel), PhD(Melb), FRACP
Dr Spizzo trained at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. He undertook a 3-year IBD Fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Whilst in Melbourne, he completed a PhD which focussed on the impact of new medical therapies on disease outcomes in IBD and the impact of IBD on Quality of Life and Disability in order to improve patient outcomes. His main focus is the treatment of IBD using new drug therapies, and IBD drug trials. He has close working relationships with the IBD Nursing and Surgical teams across all practices and regularly attends multi-disciplinary IBD meetings and conferences. He currently practices at Tennyson Centre, Flinders Private Hospital, Calvary Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre.
